Tower classes combine elements of mat work with the tower springs and bars to add challenge and diversity and to facilitate and assist movement. As in our reformer classes, you’ll get a full body workout, with emphasis on the core.
A Pilates Tower class will work all the major muscles groups, improve muscular endurance, spinal mobility and flexibility, with a combination of stretch and tone, balance and control.
You may recognise some of the exercises we do in Pilates reformer classes e.g. short spine, bridging, feet in straps, teaser…… but they will feel different on the Tower. You may find too, that learning an exercise on the tower gives you new and deeper insight and that you get more out of the exercise than on the reformer.
In our new classes, we will teach a full Pilates repertoire using the Tower, with exercises performed on the surface and off the end standing on the floor, using springs and bars, foot straps and handles, with an enhanced timetable and more variety and challenge for you, our clients
