Owning a body that can stretch and bend to meet the flow of life is a very realistic goal. In Pilates, we work toward a safe increase in length and stretch of the muscles and range of motion within
the joints.

Pilates is equally at home in the studio where the method and apparatus can be used to correct faulty movement patterning, muscular imbalances and to provide strength for weakened areas, whether through bad postural habits, operations and medical procedures, or sports injuries, speeding rehabilitation and recovery and cultivating and confirming good movement and correct posture.

Pilates in Sevenoaks is now offering a central studio facility, where small group reformer classes (or personal tuition sessions) take place. Pilates on the reformer offers access to PIlates for everyone. These marvelous machines are designed to tension-up the musculo-skeletal system, correcting postural imbalances easily and efficiently. More than that, the sessions are fun and will be tailored to specific population groups. Just four at a time, so plenty of individual attention at all times.

Unlike some forms of exercise, Pilates does not over-develop some parts of the body and neglect others. While the training focuses on core fitness, the body and mind work as integrated whole. Pilates promotes strength and balanced muscle development as well as flexibility and increased range of motion for the joints.

Whole body health, the development of the body, the mind and the spirit in complete coordination with each other, provide a level of integrated fitness that is hard to find elsewhere. This is also the reason that Pilates is embraced by many athletes who find it enhances and improves focus, concentration and precision of movement.

Pilates is a method of exercise and physical movement designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body. Practicing specific exercises coupled with focused breathing patterns, it will yield huge benefits.
